We will recommend anyone and everyone to stay in this beautiful place”

London

Marlborough is noted for its high number of sunshine hours and this combined with the awe-inspiring views and the ever changing light patterns help create a mood of serenity.

The beautiful Marlborough Sounds are close by and Kaikoura, famous for its ocean and mountain scenery is a 1.5 hour drive away. The famous Queen Charlotte Track is in the Marlborough Sounds and you can take water taxis or cruise to various points including Ship Cove with its Captain Cook connections.

The Omaka Heritage Aviation Museum is only 15 minutes away at Omaka on the outskirts of Blenheim.

Many well-known vineyards are less than 15 minutes away, several of which also feature excellent restaurants.

Your hosts, Margaret and Peter, are happy to recommend (and book for you if you wish) local restaurants and activities that you will enjoy such as eco cruises on the Sounds, whale watching in Kaikoura, golf at the nearby gold course, kayaking, walking possibilities or even a helicopter tour of the High Country or Sounds. Wine tours can pick you up at Brancott Ridge if that is your choice.
